Khartoum, July 20 (SUNA) The Chairman of Al- Gha’ad (tomorrow) Democratic Party, Nourein Adam Abdul Gafar, noted that any talk or allegations about the transfer of ousted president Omar al-Bashir to the International Criminal Court opens the door for foreign interference in the Sudanese affairs, and doesn’t come in line with the current political situations in the Sudan, nor with the revolution and its objectives, stressing his full confidence in the Sudanese judicial organs and institutions following the legal amendments made to the Criminal Code and the addition of articles on crimes against humanity provided in the Rome Statute in the Sudanese law.

In a press interview with a number of legal, strategic and political experts conducted by (SUNA) on the statement of Maj. Gen. Abdul Fattah al-Burhan, the Chairman of the Transitional Military Council when interviewed by the BBC during which he stated that they will not hand over ousted President Omar al-Bashir to the International Criminal Court, the chairman of Al- Gha’ad (tomorrow) Democratic Party indicated that the trial of the deposed president outside the Sudan before the international judiciary will not help the Sudan to overcome its crises, but will increase its complexity, stressing that the only way to establish the rule of law and citizenship, justice, freedom and equality comes in the framework of putting all these issues within a comprehensive political settlement being negotiated now; and all these issues should be discussed in their legal, political and security frameworks.

He called for seeking an agreed upon a formula by all the Sudanese political forces for the implementation of the transitional justice so that the homeland would safely surpass the current situation despite all the foreign attempts to intervene in the Sudanese affairs.
