Berkat Noreen, Nov. 29 (SUNA) - The President of the Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Gen. Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, inspected today the Armed Forces stationed at Berkat Noreen area, in Al-Fashaqa town in Gedaref State, accompanied by Lt. Gen. Magdi Ibrahim, the Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, following the Ethiopian aggressions on the area, which led to martyrdom of 6 members of the Armed Forces and the injury of more than 31 officers and soldiers.

Al-Burhan was received by Lt. Gen. Essam-Eddin Karrar, the Commander of the Land Forces, and other senior commanders of the Armed Forces.

Al-Burhan hailed the martyrs of the Armed Forces, affirming Sudan's commitment to good-neighborliness relations with Ethiopia, indicating that Sudan has no enmity with Ethiopia.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces reaffirmed that Al-Fashaqa is pure Sudanese land and vowed not to relinquish any inch of Sudan's land.

He saluted the brave soldiers throughout the country who provide the most precious for the homeland.

Al-Burhan affirmed that the Sudanese people stand beside their Armed Forces and support them to maintain their control over the entire national territory.

The President of the Sovereignty Council called on the citizens of Al-Fashaqa area to engage in their agricultural activities and devote themselves to their daily concerns, stressing the determination of the Armed Forces to protect them from any threats and their commitment to securing their farms.
