Kadugli, April 20 (SUNA) - The acting Wali (governor) of South Kordofan State, Moussa Jabr Mahmoud, called for the necessity of adhering to lofty values and self-accountability  during the holy month of  Ramadan.

 Jabr said during the Iftar which  was held at his home yesterday that Ramadan is an opportunity for self-reflection and boosting  spirit of tolerance, solidarity and compassion among citizens, in addition to promoting  the social  peace and communication and turning-down  the pages of differences  and peaceful coexistence.

The Wali called for the unity of the rank and abandoning regionalism and tribalism, saying  there is no difference between a Muslim, a Christian, or a unbeliever.

"We were created to get to know each other and show human qualities", he explained.

 The Wali  expressed his regret for the wrong practices and behavior that does not resemble the history of the ancestors in unlawful killing and looting, expressing his thanks and appreciation for attending  the Ramadan Iftar.
