Khartoum, September 13 (SUNA) - The Undersecretary for Economic Planning at the Federal Ministry of Finance Dr. Muhammad Bashar Muhammad has praised the efforts of the Sudanese Survey Corporation represented in the launch of the application of the digital national base-map system, which stick out the various resources of Sudan in geographical locations through digital maps and satellite images. This came during a workshop that was held at the Ministry of Finance Tuesday on the digital base map of Sudan.  For his part, the Director-General of the Sudanese Survey Corporation, Lt Gen. Engineer Amin Muhammad Banga stressed the state's endeavor to achieve the basic objectives of the digital base map system, the most important of which is providing data from its sources, through which resources are to be listed throughout the country. The official of the national focal point for sustainable development Dr. Amin Salih Yassin said that the digital map will have an active role in implementing sustainable development activities and providing investment opportunities, praising this advanced scientific effort that keeps pace with the developments of the times and helps to harness the country’s development resources accurately and achieves a fair distribution of development plans and wealth in Sudan.
