Khartoum, Dec 8 (SUNA)- The Ministry of Agriculture and  a Chinese Shandong Luoyan Agricultural Corporation have signed a Framework Agreement in Khartoum .

 The Chinese Ambassador to Sudan Ma Xinmin and the representative of the Chinese company signed for China while the Acting Minister of Agriculture Dr. Abu-Bakr Omar Al Bushra signed for Sudan in the presence of Undersecretary of the Ministry and some Chinese officials.

The Minister praised the strong bilateral relation between Sudan and China particularly in the agricultural field.

 On his part the Chinese Ambassador hailed the relations between the two countries in agricultural area, pointing out to the role of the central government in pushing forward agricultural cooperation between Sudan and China particularly in groundnuts and cotton.  

Meanwhile, the Ambassador stressed the upcoming period would witness a large cooperation and entering into added value chains in groundnuts and cotton crops.

The Ambassador pointed to the importance of cooperation in the field of food security to solve the global food problem, promising that cooperation also includes capacity building, training, agricultural research, horticulture and animal production.
