Al-Damazin, Dec. 8 (SUNA) – The Governor of Blue Nile region, Lieutenant General Ahmed Al-Omda Badi, during his meeting in his office today with a delegation of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), headed by Eng. Hassan Al- Maroufi, in the Eastern Sudan Region, in the presence of Ahmed Abdel-Rahman Matar, Acting Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid in the region, the governor got aquainted with the activities and programs funded by the organization in the targeted areas, in addition to the ongoing efforts to prepare the necessary arrangements for the implementation of the organization’s projects during the next stage.

The Acting Commissioner of Humanitarian Aid stated that the meeting dealt with the organization's contributions and activities that were carried out in the education sector in Bambidi area of Wad al- Mahi locality noting that the meeting reviewed the organization's future project in the region in all fields, on top of which are infrastructure, humanitarian needs, health and training for all sectors.

He added that the organization is working on completing the procedures for opening an office for the organization in the region, indicating that the governor confirmed the programs and projects of the organization to serve the development goals and the people of the region by focusing on war-affected areas and other areas affected by recent incidents.
